I gained language and professional qualifications during my studies in the Warsaw School of Economics, specialist TOEFL courses and English for Business language training organized by the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry. I was awarded the Diploma in Translation and "DipTransIoLET" designation by the Chartered Institute of Linguists in London following comprehensive examinations in the area of Business and Law. Moreover I constantly try to improve my skills through participation in language workshops and reading of professional publications and specialist press. Referring to translations of the EU-related documents my language qualifications were favorably evaluated by euroscript Polska Sp. z o.o., the company having won the first part of a large tender for translation of EU legislation.
I gained experience during my work as a freelancer and on a full-time basis under an employment contract. I started with providing interpreting services to small foreign companies from the bakery sector MONO EQUIPMENT LTD. and PURATOS. Then for a few subsequent years I worked with groups of English-speaking businessmen and tourists as well as groups of Poles and Russians abroad while cooperating with the travel agencies, POLISH TRAVEL "QUO VADIS" Ltd. and B.P. Triada. The next stage was a full time translator's work based on employment contract in Daewoo-FSO. Then I began to offer translation & interpreting services as a sole entrepreneur. So far I have completed over 1500 assignments for customers from Poland and abroad. They include one-page documents as well as materials often consisting of one hundred or more standard pages.
